CHAMOMILE FLOWER WATER
In the common chamomile, the flowers are distributed in inflorescence-heads that are particularly similar to those of the daisy. Its name means an apple that is down on the ground (hamo – apple). It is a herbaceous plant that lives for one year (annual). Aromatic and medicinal It has a smooth stem and is multi-branched.
Chamomile has calming, tonic as well as antiseptic and insecticidal properties. It also works against intestinal gas. By distilling the flowers, a valuable essential oil is obtained, the properties of which are similar to those of the essential oil of the noble Anthemis (Anthemis nobilis), a native plant of California where it is cultivated as an ornamental.
